MSP School of Design and Engineering (a.school)

Government through the Ministry of Education will establish one of Africa’s leading schools in Design and Engineering (a.school) pedagogy in collaboration with disruptive universities around the world as well as the global business community  with a focus on applied science. The African School of Design and Engineering (“a.school”) to develop solutions for societal and technological transformation will be established within the park.

·      The school will focus on enhancing the technologies developed and used in the L.Lab. The school will be critical in supporting the development of the L.Lab by building capacity for the development, operations and maintenance of the L.Lab.

·      The courses should be designed in consultation with key industry partners and sponsors to provide the necessary skills needed for study in a global and changing industry to the top 50 technologically talented admitted students aged 18 and higher and 75 apprentices.

·      The programme will include study visits, lectures, workshops and projects focusing on innovation and company creation through incubation services supported by the Business Incubator.

·      The a.School will prioritise curriculum outcomes relating to design and practical implementation challenges. Four (4) medium-term priorities including the development of an apprenticeship model for the school will be identified and prioritised in establishing the school.
